Chaga (Inonotus Obliquus) affectionately known as the King of healing mushrooms is revered throughout the Northern Hemisphere. This enchanting fungi grows high upon Birch Trees and takes up to 20 years to reach full maturity allowing the potency and benefits to begin to flourish. With notes of earth, cacao and hints of naturally occurring vanillin Chaga is traditionally brewed like a tea for potency and is an important part of Siberian Shamanic traditions.

Suggested Rituals: Chaga is rich in water and alcohol/fat-soluble compounds we recommend the traditional remedy of slow-brewed tea or decoctions. We also love infusing it in honey, adding to hot chocolate, Soups and more!

Slow Brew & Decoction: Simmer at low temperature for up to 8 hours (below 140 degrees Fahrenheit). Once brewed strain with a fine-mesh sieve and sip hot, warm or cool with your favorite sweetener. We use 1.5 oz powder to 3 ounces of water.

On The Go: Place 1 teaspoon in warm or cold beverage of choice or breakfast like oatmeal and yogurt. 

Other popular forms of preparation are Triple Extraction, hot water extraction and drops.
