Renowned for its ability to stimulate feelings of happiness, this organic essential oil is steam distilled from the fruit peel of the Citrus Bergamia, which blossoms during the inviting Italian winter. A lemon-bitter orange hybrid, bergamot is cultivated for its potent aromatic essence. Very seasonal and limited.
Bergamot oil is effective in treating acne, reduces redness, lifts emotional clouds, and invites an aura of pure, radiant relief. It is filled with sunny floral-fruit cheer.
Suggested Use: It is recommended to dilute 1% or less in a blend with a carrier oil, such as jojoba, coconut, or olive oils before applying directly to skin. Undiluted bergamot oil can have photosensitizing effects when exposed to direct sunlight. Once diluted, a few drops can be applied to any or all of the following places on the body: the crown of your head, behind the ears, neck, temples, and pulse points on the wrists.
When using a diffuser, add 3-5 drops of Living Libations Essential Oil. For a bath start with 6 drops. For massage,15-20 drops of essential oil may be added to 1 ounce of carrier oil or lotion. Straight from the bottle: open the bottle and take a deep breath.
Bergamot Oil blends well with the following oils: Vetiver, Sandalwood, Jasmine, Pine, Lavender, Grapefruit, Rose Otto, Ylang, Cardamom, Lemongrass, Marjoram, Frankincense, and Myrrh.
